IGNITING A SPARK FOR LEARNING
IGNITING A SPARK FOR LEARNING
Headteacher's Welcome
At Roslin Primary School, we are proud to be at the heart of our community, aspiring to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment in which every child can thrive. Whether you are a pupil, family member, or visitor to our website, I am delighted to share with you a little about who we are and what matters most to us.
Nestled in the heart of our historic village, with beautiful views across the Pentland Hills and proximity to Roslin Glen and Roslin Chapel, the school plays an important role within the community. We currently welcome 331 primary pupils alongside 64 nursery children, who benefit from our purpose-built nursery with two playrooms, a garden, and access to our library, gym hall, expressive arts room, and nurture space.
At Roslin, our values - Play, Nurture, and Respect - guide everything we do. We’re committed to creating an engaging, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to aim high and where they can be themselves whilst feeling included as part of our school family.
We believe that strong partnerships between home and school lie at the heart of success. When families, staff, and the wider community work together, we enrich learning experiences and empower our children to flourish as confident, caring, and capable individuals - well prepared for the future.
Thank you for taking the time to explore our school's website. If you are planning a visit, or new to the area, we look forward to welcoming you into our vibrant and supportive community.
Warm regards,
Gillon Rand
